Opening Thoughts – Setting the Context!
Whenever Ideas are Blocked, You are going to lose the flow, and that is going to affect the entire activities that you do in that span. The quicker you reestablish the flow, the faster you can move forward. It is a Fact Applicable to the Entire Humans.
Consulting Assignment, The First Day in Edinburgh:
It was a beautiful morning, and I also decided to enjoy some quality time with my fellow professionals with our partner organization. Because We all tired due to the continuous journey, extended weekend schedules, and all these have taken plenty of energy from us. After spending half of our day with practicing regular games, We begin to plan something different for the Next Workshop.
Discussion on Framework – Each Consulting, Training & Coaching is Unique:
These five hours of the debate has given the framework (Ice Breaker, Value Steam Mapping for the Game as well as the End Result along with the Mapping of the associated Professional Benefits to the participants and their respective organizations). The Majority of the audience were from Edinburgh, Manchester, and the remaining were from different parts of the UK and different regions of APAC. The discussion scheduled in Edinburgh, One of the beautiful place that I always love to be in.
Here is a Different Request from the Target Audience – Oh! What’s That?
The framework for Agile games and Certain Other Engagement Specific Topics were ready. When we begin the discussion, one more surprising request has come up from the Target Audience. The demand in question was for about the specific time slot to talk about different Life Skills.
Quick Conference Call, Triggered More thoughts & Questions:
The Curiosity is up now, and we decided to arrange a quick conference call before our onboarding, i.e., Two weeks before the event. We have listened to some compelling reasons that fair enough to justify the audience request. Listing down some of them:
- Life Skill plays a significant role in deciding the difference between each & every individual.
- All of us in this world have just 24 hours, but some make lots of difference & others don’t. But Why?
- We spent plenty of time in learning different Professional Skills after completing our Formal Education. It is well and good, but Can we make a significant difference If we focus the Life Skills part a little more?
- Most of the audience was between 7 & 20 Years of experience, and the exciting differences are that this request has come from people holding above 14 years of experience. So this reminds us of the question that:
Why these thoughts didn’t come in the early stage of your career or life?
Are we reactive in giving attention toLife Skills?
What happens, if we proactively learned these skills in the early stage?
Does that really help us to be more effective and get a faster growth, better life experience & happy life?
Anyways, I am parking all these questions and allowing the readers to answer it. We decided to spend a day before the training to discuss the topic “Mind Cries, Body Pains.”
Are We Giving Enough Attention to Our Mind During the Era of Stress? What Happens, If We don’t do? The importance of the below topics lies there:
Mind Cries, Body Pains
Who Proposed?
Even though this session was proposed by Audience above 14 Years, Audience below 14 Years also were participated, might be due to Curiosity.
Session Kicked Off One Day Before the Actual Training & Certification Program, How was that?
The On-Boarding & Due Diligence has given enough space for us to understand the audience. So followed by the initial “Small Talk,” The Actual Conversation has begun sharing an incident experienced by one of the members in the past.
Here is the First Incident:
He was walking in a lush Green Park enjoying the beauty of nature, the flowers, and it’s the fragrance. Young kids playing in different areas made him feel happy. Suddenly a barking dog runs towards him. He became frightened. His heart skips a beat and races. He felt:
- Nauseating discomfort in his stomach
- So weak that he is going to fall to the ground
Thank God!. The dog runs away from him.
He is now:
- Relieved, still, his heart is pounding
- There are drops of sweat on his forehead
We encouraged the participants to share one more incident:
Here comes the Second Incident:
She was invited to attend a marriage function. As she knows the brides family very well, She expected personal care and attention but:
- She gets disappointed to see that she was left alone unattended and she has to help herself.
- Suddenly she felt sick
- She develops a headache
- She wishes to go out of that place as early as possible
- The headache persists even when she is back at home
Brainstorming Started, The Findings are:
In both the Instances: (Both can be considered as Examples for Fewer Worries)
- But Still, they developed bodily symptoms like heart pounding, nausea, discomfort in the stomach, weakness, sweating, feeling of sickness, headache.
Not because of any abnormality or disease in the body but because of psychological reasons like fear & Frustrations.
- People usually develop a headache, some discomfort in the chest, whenever they worry about something and these symptoms disappears when they stop worrying and relax.
On some occasions, you might have worried too much about a problem. It makes the situations even worse and the symptoms also can go to the next level. We continued the discussions little deeper (Summary Available Below)
- You did not feel like eating and enjoy your food
- You could not sleep well
- You were unable to concentrate and work efficiently
- You were slightly irritable and lacked patience
How do Some People Respond (Conscious or Unconscious Response)? But Is that the Right Way?
When people were puzzled or annoyed by someone’s behavior and asked for reasons:
- They would have told that they were not “well.”
That means if someone is under tension and If they are more worrying and not feeling comfortable:
- There appears to be some disturbance in your health status.
- There are changes in the body and mental functioning, which make you feel uncomfortable and sick.
There are certain advantages to being sick:
- They get some sympathy, attention from others.
- Their mistakes and unpleasant responses get excused.
- Some people thus may make a habit (This could be an unconscious process, without there knowledge) of remaining sick and suffer from aches and pains for a long time.
Do these Responses Benefit anyone for a Long Time?
The Answer is Firm No. The discussion Continued, and people left with plenty of “Action Items.” The reviews are still “In Progress,” and they are continuing their journey to the Next Level of Excellence.
